Bizen is a city located in Okayama, Japan. The city is particularly famous for its Bizen-yaki pottery.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 28,030 and the density of 209.71 persons per km². The total area is 133.66 km².

The city was founded on April 1, 1971.

We can say, it is "Momotaro" who is well known traditionally as a small boy and hero in our country, Japan.

"Momotaro" has been said to be born out of "peach", brought his fellow compansions (a dog, monkey and pheasant), and gave "Kibi Dango" sweets to them on their way to Onigashima island in Setonaikai Sea to fight against bad enamy called "Oni".

Bizen is located in the region of east Okayama, and is very famous for its pottery called "Bizen-Yaki".

Okayama prefecture which has such famous story or legend, is located in west Japan, and is fastinating people to live in warm temperature and sunny through the year.

  2. Get off OKAYAMA Station ,then change a line to BANSHU-AKO LINE.(Takes 15minutes)
  3. Take the BANSHU-AKO LINE bound for BANSHU-AKO Station.(Takes 50 minutes)

From Osaka

(1) Osaka > (2) Okayama > (3) Iri
  1. Take a SHINKANSEN(NOZOMI or HIKARI) bound for HAKATA at SHIN-OSAKA Station
    (" NOZOMI" takes 45 minutes "HIKARI" takes 55 minutes)
  2. Get off OKAYAMA Station ,then change a line to BANSHU-AKO LINE.(Takes 15minutes)
  3. Take the BANSHU-AKO LINE bound for BANSHU-AKO Station.(Takes 50 minutes)

From Kansai International Air Port

(1) Kansai International Airport > (2 )shin-osaka > (3) Okayama > (4)iri
  1. Take a HARUKA EXPRESS or KANKU EXPRESS bound for SHIN-OSSASKA at KANSAI INTETRNATIONAL AIRPORT STATION
    (" HARUKA" takes 50 minutes "KANKU EXPRESS" takes 60 minutes)
  2. Get off SHIN-OSAKA Station ,then change a line to SHINKANSEN. (Takes 15minutes)
